Audrey Moore, 86, formally of Charlotte, NC, joined her Lord and Savior after an extended illness on November 23, 2016. A native of Haywood County, NC, she was the daughter of Robert Gilmer and Leola Hill Sanford. She was preceded in death by brothers, Max Sanford and Farrell Sanford and sister, Jane Sanford Lonsway.

Audrey worked in administration and accounting for various companies to include Southern Bell, National Welder's, and Brown Transportation. She loved gardening, flowers, bird watching, sketching and painting, and working crossword puzzles. Audrey adored her six grandchildren and loved spending time...

A native of Haywood County, NC, she was the daughter of Robert Gilmer and Leola Hill Sanford. She was preceded in death by brothers, Max Sanford and Farrell Sanford and sister, Jane Sanford Lonsway.

Audrey worked in administration and accounting for various companies to include Southern Bell, National Welder's, and Brown Transportation. She loved gardening, flowers, bird watching, sketching and painting, and working crossword puzzles. Audrey adored her six grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She enjoyed cooking for family and friends and her home was always open for anyone to stop by.

A member of the Steele Creek community for over 60 years, she was a life long member of Steele Creek Presbyterian Church and cherished her church friendships. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, David N. Moore. She is survived by three daughters, Melanie Lessard (Bernie) of Fairfax, VA, Melisa Agness (Mark) of Nevada City, CA, and Sandra Robinson of Charlotte, NC, brother, Leon Sanford, sister, Lorraine Caldwell, and six grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church on Friday, December 2, 2016, burial at 10:30 and service at 11:00. The Reverend Jeff Pinkston will be presiding. The family will receive friends at a reception at the church following the service.
