Obituary

Friends,

We wanted to let you know that our daughter, Lauren, passed away over the weekend. It was a long and challenging journey for Lauren, especially these past two years. Despite all the obstacles, her faith remained strong and she persevered with great strength, courage and determination. This is a bittersweet moment in time for Lynn, Kyle and myself, we find great solace in knowing that Lauren is at peace and pain free for the first time in years. Heaven got a beautiful angel and we look forward to seeing her again!

Lauren's wish was for a celebration of her life versus a funeral, and we will share those plans as they come together over the next couple of weeks.

Lauren Georgia Reilly of Charlotte passed from this life on March 20, when God recalled one of his wonderful angels. She was born on April 26, 1989, in Chicago, Illinois. Lauren was a loving daughter, sister and friend to many as she made a positive impact through her daily life.

It was a long and challenging journey for Lauren, especially these past two years, but despite the numerous obstacles, her faith remained strong and she persevered with great strength, courage and determination. Lauren completed two degrees at Queens University in Charlotte and was ready to launch her nursing career focused on oncology with Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. While growing up, her passions were varied beyond her extensive family including the piano, scouts, soccer, mentoring children and giving back to the community and others in a variety of ways. She especially treasured the outdoors, expressing her artistic and creative talents, and family vacations. Lauren courageously lived every moment of her life, giving us a continued hope of love and strength.

Lauren is survived by her parents; Art and Lynn Reilly; brother, Kyle; maternal grandparents, Dale and Janice Henninger; paternal grandfather, Arthur Reilly as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Lois Reilly.

A celebration of Lauren's life will be held on April 1, 2015, at Myers Park United Methodist Church, 1501 Queens Road, Charlotte, NC 28207. Lauren's celebration will begin at 2PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Lauren's memory to the Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome Association, RSDSA, P.O. Box 502, Milford, CT 06460 www.rsdsa.org.
